In math, I learned that when you do multiplication by nines, you put the finger down that you multiplied by nine, and the number of fingers on the left, is in the tens place and the number of fingers on the right is in the ones place. I love doing multiplication by nines. Its fun.-Elliana

This week in social studys we were put in groups.  We had to read about famous people.  Then we had to make statues.  But instead of making them were supose to be them! So far it is alot of fun.  I love Social Studys!!!

  In math we learned about area. In science we learned about dams,aquaducts,and resevoirs.We also learned about fossils and groundwater.Ground water is water that gets in the ground hence ground water.I wonder why scientists have great abilities to name stuff.        Jack T.

  I took a lot of tests. I took a math test, a reading test, an english test, and a spelling test. We only had math  homework one day this week. It was really cold this week. It was about twenty deegrees.

Today is the 100th day of school.We are doing wikis. They're so much fun. I'm in the fish group. We are learning cursive. It's really fun. We have reading buddies coming soon. I love my reading buddy she is really sweet.

This week in school on Thursday and Friday we did not go outside because it was so cold. We had a test on the Titanic. People thought it was the safest boat ever made but it sank so it wasn`t.

This week on Thursay it snowed enough to go sledding. Though we were'nt off school. We had a test on the Titanic. We had to write a friendly letter about the summary.

This week we got to come up with a made up animal. Then we had to write what it eats, what it looks like, and where it lives. Most of us mixed two animals together to make one.

This week  we are learning about rocks and minerals,we learded about gneiss rock and what it comes from .The gneiss rock comes from granite.  We also have this bag, one person gets to take it home and put one thing in  it and shares it with the class.

This week we learned "A's" an "C's" in cursive. We are also starting to reherse our parts in The Ginch That Stole Christmas and the Christmas Story. This is for our Christmas Tea with our reading buddies.  We have fairy tale book reports due Dec.16. We have to make an ornament. Audrey

We learned about possessive nouns and how to use 's and s'.We did cursive A's and C's.We are reading Because of Winn Dixie.I like the book. We have to do book reports.We are doing fairy tales. Adam

This week we learned abbreiveations in reading. You can do an abbreiveation with months, Mr., Mrs., Ms., and days of the week.  In music we started doing dance moves for the Christmas play.  We get to use canes and hats. Lindsay

We went on a field trip and learned about rocks.  It was awsome we went in a cave.  Joshua

 It was a very exciting trip.  We went to a cave were Jesse James hideout was.  We went  to a rock class and we touched a very old dinosaur poop and it was a fossil.
Mrs. Hanson decorated our room for Christmas. We made Christmas chains and there is a Christmas tree in our room. Kate

PENNIES FROM OUR POCKETS

Third grade is collecting pennies or change from our pockets for His Glory Orphange in Haiti.  Will you please help us by sending in pennies (or change) so that we can send lots of money to help the children in Haiti. Third grade is in a contest to raise the most money for the orphange.  We are competing against second and fourth grade.  If we win, we get an extra recess.  PLEASE HELP!! We want the extra recess but we really want to help the children in Haiti to be safe.

I like when we read Two Kettles. It is a good book don't you like it? Well I think it is a well done book.In the story my faviret character is Tiptoe the stunk. He is cute.  Joseph
