we are having a Math test, Science test, and English test.We just started a new novel,

Alice In Wonderland.We are going on spring break for a week after today.

This week we did a lot of things. On Tuesday, Aidin shadowed Miss.Numala’s class. I think she really enjoyed St. John School. Then on Wednesday, Riley shadowed our class. She followed me around the whole day. It was really fun. On Thursday, we went to art. We made weaving looms. Then on Friday, we had a day without shoes. Then in P.E. we ran a mile. After that we were so muddy.Then we had a pep rally. We all wore cougar wear.

Hi, my name is Jonah.  Let me tell you about 3rd grade. In math we are learning how to divide. Also, in reading we are doing our Alice in Wonderland  projects.  I am doing a slideshow with a partner, Harrison. So far I think it is really fun.  In Art, we did a clay project which is a looming wheel.  It is colored string attached to a clay foundation.  In PE we ran a mile today. That is about 3rd grade.

This week we learned how to make  and draw rectangle prisms. We also learned about right angles and acute angles and obtuse angles in math this week. In science  we are  doing a project  on planets and I my project is on Neptune. Also we learned how to multiply by 10s.

Hi,my name is Hailey,I'm in 3rd grade.In literature we are learning about biographies and you get to choose! I choose Ben Franklin and his most important thing he did was inventing electricity!

He did it by taking a kite and tying it to a key. A storm was passing by and he touched

the key and it shocked him. Now he knew that lighting is electricity. He could control where he

wanted it to go. Ben Franklin is fun learning about and now you know all about what he did!

Hello I am Alejandro and I want to tell  about our week. We are going to have a cookie booth to  raise money to help Bryan Hill Elementary School.  We have been making poster for it at  indoor recess. We are learning about multiplying by  tens.  For example 40x3=120.   It is almost the end of this quarter.  We are learning pushes and pulls in science. We you push on something it pushes away from and when you pull on something it comes towards you.  I hope you enjoyed what we have been doing lately. Goodbye.

This week we are making a cookie table for Encore Night. It is really fun. We are making posters and cookies and are going to sell them at Encore  Night.  We are making boomerangs in Art for Encore night also.  Every grade has a country and third grade has Australia and we are making boomerangs for one of our projects.  We made African Animals for Encore Night as one of our projects too.  We did a planet Web Quest in Science.  II had Saturn and here is one fact : an 80 pound person would weigh 85 pounds on Saturn because there is more gravity.

We went to the library this  week.I liked it a lot.We also made African Animals in art. In class we learned about commas in Language Arts .In music we are getting ready  for Encore Night.  We are learning how to a Heel Toe Dance. In P.E we played a game called Kingpin.

In art class we are making boomerangs. We dot  them with a wooden stick to decorate them. In English we learned where to put commas in a series. It was very interesting. In Math we are learning about 3 dimensional shapes. I never knew how to draw a cube until now. In music we are doing a dance called the Heel Toe dance. When boys are with girls they do not like it.

This week was a busy week for us. In math we leaned about fractions and we leaned that the top number is the numerator and the bottom number is the denominator. In Science we are on our disasters unit. We are learning about tornadoes, hurricanes, floods, landslides and earthquakes. In P.E. we are doing cup stacking. That is where we stack up cups and try to protect them. In music we are practicing for are Christmas show.  Signed,

This week in art we are working on are owls and we have already painted them. Now we are going to put wire on them so that we can hang them. In PE we are playing a game where each team has four towers of cups and we build the tower and then we get Frisbees and knock the other teams tower down.

This week in math we are talking about fracstions. It is really fun! I really like shading in the shapes on the smart board!  In our lesson practice we have to draw shapes and shade them in. We also have to write one half if the shape is shaded in half of the shape. We also have to write it in digits, 1/2.

Hi,my name is Taylor and i am going to tell about what happened this week.This week we did goggle land mark tours in social studies.We just did a test in English and the highest points are 112 points, and I got 107. I thing we are using computers in science next week but I wish it was this week. We are  learning about rocks and minerals in science.


This week was cool.In science we did a hand out and I got all of them right! We got our English test back and I got 105 percent. In math we worked on adding money and cents. We also added  a few things to our file folder like character traits. We are doing it for our novel study.And I also got to  do hamburger writing. Hi my name is Avri. This week we worked on Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing. For the book we are decorating file folders. In art we are making owls.So far our owls we are ripping paper for the bodies. Today we had to run ten laps in gym. We had some math tests this week. We are learning different parts of sentences like the predicates and subjects of the sentences.

Hi my name is Nate. This week has been easy. We started reading Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing. It is a good book so far. In art class we just finished painting rocks like fish,and we put them outside.  In p.e we played tee ball,and it was a lot of fun. This week has gone fast. In science we are learning about animal cells and a plant cells. Animal cells and plant cells are alike in some ways and their different too.

This week we got to take our shoes off for a whole day! We got to do that because we donated shoes to people in other counties that don't have any shoes at all. Also, this week, 2nd-4th grade got to wear jeans and a uniform shirt. We got to do this because 2nd-4th grade donated the most box tops.

In math we have been learning to multiply 3,4,6,7,and 8.In science we learned about the planets in the solar system. Also in social studies we learned about Rosa Parks and Ruby Bridges. Art has been really fun, we are making jelly fish and they look so cool. In English we're learning about linking  verbs and helping verbs. This week has been awesome!

This week we went to art and we made some jelly fish from water paint. They are so fun to make. When we were in the other classroom, we got to learn about Rosa Parks and Ruby Bridges. We made this head that was Rudy. W e also learned about cubes, cones, and other 3D shapes. It's super fun because we get to learn to draw  the shapes the front and back. This week we also did the learning fair and it was very awesome! We had to dress like somebody famous. now we are working on other famous people.

Last week was Lutheran schools week. We did a lot of fun things. On Thursday we did workout clothes. On Friday we had a pep rally. it was a really fun week. The best part was we got to dress up. I loved when we got to have a desert for lunch.

Last week on Wednesday was CLASH DAY! It was where we would dress up in things that would totally not match! On Tuesday it was FUTURE OCUPATION DAY! It was SO fun! Monday was SO fun-it was TWINS DAY! It's where you where the same thing as your friend and it was AWESOME! We'll that was last week but this week we are reading about Bessie Coleman. It's about Bessie's Coleman's life. What happened so far we read about how she moved to Texas, and Chicago and that her father and two brothers left her when she was young. Also in art were making Austrailian animals out of paper and yarn. It's really cool! Well that's all I have to say for today. Bye!

Third grade is so much fun! We learn about a lot. I like that we each have jobs. Toady we learned about planets in Science. I like Pluto. It's the smallest planet in space. The Titanic is so cool. In art we are making paper animals. We wrap them in yarn. P.E is fun. We are doing basketball. In math we are doing multiplication. It's a little hard. Library is so much fun. I like Spanish.  Jenna

Hi, my name is Jake . I'm in third grade this week we went to gym and we stacked cups and we raced a partner and I beat my partner. In music we sang songs that we're going to sing in the Christmas play. And last we had the Thanksgiving feast the food was the best!!! And after that we went outside. Outside I played soccer . I almost scored a goal but our team still won 2-1. It was another awesome week at school.

This week was really fun. We had reading buddies. We had gym and played survivor we had recess and I played soccer. I was a really good defense. We had a Thanksgiving feast it was awesome!

This week we had a lot of fun because we had a field trip to Meramec Caverns. There where so many caves . Music was a lot of fun to because we are practicing for our Christmas Program . In P.E we did cup stacking . We are having a lot of fun with out having uniforms because we wore cougar wair on Tuesday and we wore football or college stuff on Friday. This was a really fun week !

In art we are making sculptures of Austrailian animals because for encore night 3rd grade's continent is Austrailia. Spanish is fun! We are learning to count  from 0-200 and we might by the end of the year get to 1000 or 10000. I hope we get to 10000 because that would be really cool!!!! In reading were reading a book called Because of Winn-Dixie and it's REALLY  COOL!!!!!  It's about this girl who  finds a dog and she takes really good care of him and the dog's name is Winn-Dixie!!! 3rd grade had a FANTASTIC week!!!!!!!!!!!!

Third grade is the best! We get 4 choices for lunch, its awesome! I also like the book reports and the new math sheets we get for homework. The tic-tac-toe is cool too, its were we have to do three spelling sheets that has to do with our spelling words.  Zach


Third grade is awesome. My favorite subject is social studies because I like states. Hot lunch at school is awesome.  We get a break and get read to self time. The only thing I don't like is homework. Luke

This week was really fun in Art. We got to make mosaics and finish them. Today we got go to library and pick out really cool books and they were really interesting . Also, today we got to turn in our book reports. It took a long time to do but it was fun. Amelia
